Project
Cultural Interpretation Strategy – Busselton Cultural Precinct and Performing Arts and Convention Centre

What we delivered

  • Context and trends analysis

  • Stakeholder engagement and insights

  • Thematic development

  • Cultural interpretation and strategy

When the City of Busselton began planning for a new Performing Arts and Convention Centre they needed to articulate the project vision, connecting cultural heritage with future-facing aspirations. INK was called on to develop a Cultural Interpretation Strategy for the BPACC and developed the key themes, narratives and stories to achieve this, also providing direction on application to built form, public realm, brand, and programming.

Ink crafted the Cultural Interpretation Strategy for the City’s Cultural Precinct and developing Performing Arts and Convention Centre. Their work captured the community’s aspirations and ideas, to identify the precinct’s place essence. The CIS is a founding document that is now guiding the ambience of the new building, its branding and naming development, and future programming ideas. We can’t speak highly enough of Ink’s professional approach, responsive service and outcomes.
