The Swan and Canning rivers are vital to Perth’s tourism appeal and key to unlocking their potential is the delivery of new, compatible destination assets and attractions.

StreamlineWA and Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions commissioned INK to improve the development approvals process for tourism uses in the Swan Canning Development Control Area, working with complex legislation and current business practice.

INK delivered a three-day, human-centred design sprint with a cross-functional team, using interactive techniques to define challenges, overcome pain points and deliver process improvements in real time – generating more than 150 unique ideas and 35 reform opportunities.

Ink Strategy is well versed in designing and delivering workshops, drawing on a range of creative and engaging techniques to generate a range of ideas to improve the way we do business. They were quick to get an understanding of DBCA’s business from a tourism approvals lens, to ensure unique issues, barriers and drivers that face small business were captured in the workshops. Overall, DBCA had a great experience working with Ink Strategy.
